Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter “Policy”) explains how FefaEther (hereinafter “the Operator”) handles personal information and data in connection with the VRChat photo management application “Virtual Snap Archive” (hereinafter “the App” or “VSA”).

Please read this Policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you consent to the data handling practices described in this Policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Current Status

Currently, the App stores the following data locally on your computer only and does not transmit data to the Operator’s servers:

Photo Data: Screenshots taken in VRChat (PNG, JXL formats, etc.)
Metadata: World information, camera settings, capture date/time, etc., attached to photos
App Settings: User preferences such as language settings, theme settings, folder path settings
VRChat-Related Information: World names, player information, etc., extracted from VRChat log files

2.2 Potential Future Changes

The following data collection may be implemented in future updates:

Cloud Sync Data: Data synchronization through integration with cloud services such as Google Drive
Usage Statistics: Anonymous usage data for the purpose of improving the App
Crash Reports: Error information for the purpose of improving App quality
Account Information: Authentication information when using cloud features

When these features are implemented, this Policy will be updated and users will be notified.

3. Data Storage Location

3.1 Local Storage

Currently, all user data is stored only in local storage on your computer. Users can configure the storage folder location.

3.2 Cloud Storage (Planned for Future)

If cloud storage integration (such as Google Drive) is implemented in the future, data will be uploaded to the cloud only when explicitly enabled by the user. Cloud service usage is optional and can be disabled at the user’s choice.

4. Purpose of Data Use

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

Providing the basic features of the App
Saving and applying user settings
Managing photos and attaching metadata
Improving App quality and fixing bugs (if statistical data is collected in the future)

5.1 Current Status

Currently, the Operator does not share user data with third parties.

5.2 Future Third-Party Service Integration

Integration with the following services may be implemented in the future:

Google Drive: Cloud backup of photos
Authentication Services: Providing account functionality

When using these services, the privacy policies of each service will also apply.

5.3 Legal Requirements

The Operator may disclose data to law enforcement or government agencies when required by law or when necessary to respond to legal proceedings.

6. Data Security

The Operator takes reasonable security measures to protect user data. However, transmission over the Internet and digital storage are not 100% secure, so complete security of data cannot be guaranteed.

7. User Rights

7.1 Data Access

All data stored locally is accessible on your computer at any time.

7.2 Data Deletion

All local data can be deleted by uninstalling the App and removing the associated storage folders.

7.3 Changing Settings

Various settings can be changed at any time through the App’s settings screen.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users of all ages. If a child under 13 uses the App, parental supervision is recommended. The Operator does not intentionally collect personal information from children.

9. International Data Transfers

Currently, user data is stored locally, so no international data transfers occur. If cloud services are introduced in the future, data may be stored on servers outside of Japan, and this Policy will be updated accordingly.

10. Changes to This Policy

The Operator may modify this Policy as necessary. Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or release notes during updates. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Policy.

11. Language

This Policy is prepared in both Japanese and English. In case of any discrepancy between the two language versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
